Welcome to Folkehaven!
Folkehaven is Nørrebro’s new, wild-growing gathering place in the courtyards and buildings between Fælledvej and Ravnsborggade.
In Folkehaven you will find green courtyard gardens, a high-ceilinged assembly hall, meeting places, places to eat and a wide-ranging community of values-driven organisations and people.
Folkehaven opens up space for lively conversations, everyday community, cultural experiences, reflection and wonder – rooted in the city and engaged with the world.

Folkehaven has room for meetings and events both small and large – and can host the professional and the popular alike.
Get involved
We are looking for people and organisations with a passion for bringing people together around something that matters. If you have ideas that engage and inspire, we are ready to get involved.
We are looking for partners with good causes and good content. We imagine talks, concerts, dinners, markets and much more. We are curious to try out new communities, events and formats.
Our larger spaces, the Assembly Hall and Folkesalen, hold 150 people – and there is plenty of room in our courtyard gardens and places to eat. They are great spaces for launches, receptions, celebrations and other festivities.
We have larger conference and event spaces as well as classic, well-appointed meeting rooms. Restaurant Villette can provide food and drinks. Contact us for more information.
We are looking for ambassadors and volunteers who would like to help build up the communities and activities in Folkehaven.

Folkehaven is an initiative of Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (ActionAid Denmark). We believe that living, physical communities are essential to inspire hope and action at a time when humanism is under pressure. That is why we are transforming our place and engaging in new events, initiatives and partnerships.
